FREE buggy walks at healthy hub parks are helping Black Country parents, grandparents and carers to keep fit in the great outdoors.

The led walks are designed especially for those with babies in pushchairs and last up to one hour.

There will also be a free one hour stay and play session after each walk, with soft play equipment for babies and refreshments for adults.

Sessions run at Huntingtree Park in Halesowen on Tuesdays from 9.15am to 10.30am and at Stourbridge’s Mary Stevens Park on Wednesdays from 11am to 1pm and Fridays from 1pm to 3pm.

They will also take place at Netherton Park on Tuesdays from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

Deborah Harkins, chief officer for health and wellbeing at Dudley Council, said: “The ‘let’s get’ campaign encourages Dudley borough residents of all ages and abilities to be physically active.

“The buggy walk sessions are great for babies as it enables them to enjoy fresh air in our beautiful green parks. It also offers parents a great chance to enjoy the health benefits of walking and socialising with others.”
