A HYDROCEPHALUS sufferer, from Halesowen, is staging a charity evening of live music at Birmingham’s Actress and Bishop on Saturday (August 1).
Performers, including rising star Demi Marriner, DJ Lucy Loveheart and newly formed duo Stacy and Andy, will take to the stage.
All profits from ticket sales will be donated to Shine, a charity that supports sufferers of spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families.
The gig is being organised by James Weavin, who has had hydrocephalus since birth, and his wife Ashleigh.
The idea came to him shortly after being hospitalised from an infection to a shunt used to help remove cerebrospinal fluid from his brain.
He said: “Shine do such a great job, their support for people affected by these conditions is integral for so many people to be able to lead a normal life.
“This night is all about continuing that support and raising some awareness around these conditions that are often overlooked.”
Tickets are available online at justgiving.com/summershine with a suggested donation of £5.
