CRADLEY MP Margot James is to become an ambassador for Mary Stevens Hospice’s upcoming 25th anniversary appeal.
Next year the hospice will be celebrating its 25th anniversary and plans to launch an appeal to secure funding to increase capacity and modernise the day unit.
The MP met Ruth Powell, head of fundraising at Mary Stevens Hospice, to discuss the appeal and hear about the challenges facing the organisation.
Ms James was invited to become an ambassador for the 25th anniversary appeal, and will play an active part in the fundraising efforts going forward.
She said: “Mary Stevens Hospice plays such an important role in our community and I’d like to thank everyone at the hospice for their fantastic work.
"I’m delighted to be asked to become an ambassador for the appeal, and I look forward to doing all I can to help ensure the hospice raises enough to carry out these vital improvements.”
