Roadworks and V Festival traffic cause issues - Friday's travel update

A quick glance around the Black Country and North Worcestershire suggests the roads are looking okay in general, apart from where there are ongoing road works. Some to look out for are:

Expect delays due to water main work and temporary traffic lights on the A451 Stourport Road in Kidderminster, at the A4535 Sutton Road junction.

The A457 Sedgley Road East in Dudley Port is closed in both directions between the Cleton Street junction and the A461 Dudley Port junction, because of water main work. A diversion is in operation, but expect delays.

Expected delays on the B4091 Hanbury Road in Bromsgrove between the Avoncroft Road junction and the A38 Redditch Road junction, because of temporary traffic lights.

Water main work and temporary traffic lights on the B4175 Stalling's Lane in Kingswinford between the Charterfield Drive junction and the Second Avenue junction. Expect delays.

Heading to V Festival?

Traffic around Weston Park, near Wolverhampton, is already building including:

*On the A41 northbound between the M54 J3 junction and Pickmere Island, due to a one-way system in place and traffic control for people heading towards the festival. Expect delays.

*Mill Lane in Tong is closed between the Offoxey Road junction and the A5 junction, because of traffic control for the festival.

*Chatwell Lane in Weston Heath is closed in both directions between the B5314 Chester Road junction and the A41 junction, because of traffic control for the festival.

*Restrictions and traffic control for the festival on the M6 southbound between J13, A449 (Stafford South) and J12, A5 (Gailey)
