THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between August 17 and 21:

Simon Ian Trevor Launchbury, aged 42, of Himley Road, Dudley, was fined £182 for possessing cannabis and CS gas in Dudley on May 22. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £265 court costs.

Reece Thomas Lavender, aged 22, of Ashwood Avenue, Wordsley, was fined £500 for possessing cannabis and driving without a licence or insurance in Wordsley on August 3. He was given eight penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £50 and £265 court costs.

Justin Terence Newman, aged 44, of Tile Croft, Wollescote, was fined £145 for possessing crack cocaine and stealing items, worth £24.99, from Wilkinsons, Stourbridge, on July 31. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £265 court costs.

Marie Coleen Bills, aged 43, of Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 26 weeks, suspended for 18 months for stealing rings, worth £1,442, from Peplow and Sons, Stourbridge, on April 21. She was given a 26 week curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 7pm and 5am. She must pay compensation of £1,442, a victim surcharge of £80 and £265 court costs.

Thomas Davies, aged 21, of Bluebell Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months for driving without a licence or insurance and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent in Dudley on July 3. He was also sentenced for failing to stop and report an accident which occurred due to his presence on the road. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £800 and must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £235 court costs.

Mark Royston Barry Tinsley, aged 33, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for stealing laundry detergent, worth £24.90, from the 99p Store, Dudley, on August 5. He must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £200 court costs.

Paul Arthur Heathcock, aged 57, of Moor Street, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 26 weeks for assaulting a woman in Stourbridge on April 15. He must pay compensation of £200 and £600 court costs.

Paul Jonathon Mellor, aged 47, of Oak Leasow, Quinton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for assaulting a woman in Warley on August 7. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £235 court costs.

Antonio Giovanni, aged 45, of Barker Street, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for possessing cocaine in Warley on August 10 and stealing items from Farm Foods, West Bromwich, on June 2 and 18. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80, compensation of £60 and £180 court costs.

Shane Sharaq Stanley, aged 26, of Leyes Crescent, Brockmoor, was sent to prison for 18 weeks for assaulting two police officers in Brierley Hill on August 17, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay compensation of £100 and a victim surcharge of £80 and £150 court costs.

Darren John Legg, aged 49, of Collie Street, Amblecote, was fined £425 for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, in Wolverhampton on July 2. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £43 and £235 court costs.

Gareth Lee Bowen, aged 33, of Enville Street, Stourbridge, was sent to prison for 26 weeks for entering a building in Stourbridge as a trespasser and stealing electrical items, worth £1,700 on June 6 and entering a building as a trespasser in Stourbridge on June 14 with intent to steal. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £1,000 court costs.

Christopher James Hope, aged 30, of Cowslip Walk, Amblecote, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a man in Amblecote on February 10 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on July 16, having been released on bail. He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £150, a £50 fine, a victim surcharge of £60 and £510 court costs.

Grant Junior Richards, aged 20, of Norwood Avenue, Cradley Heath, was given a 12 month community order for driving without due care and attention, with a licence, insurance, in Dudley on May 9. He was also sentenced for being the driver of a motorcycle owing to the presence of which on a road, an accident occurred whereby injury was caused to another person. He was disqualified from driving for four months and must carry out 180 hours of unpaid work. He must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £235 court costs.

Steven Alan Booth, aged 38, of Surrey Drive, Kingswinford, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing wine and a sandwich, worth £6.89, from Tesco Express, Kingswinford, on August 4 and breaching a community order. He must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £235 court costs.

Richard Bower, aged 42, of Blowers Green Road, Dudley, was fined £80 for begging in Dudley between April 30 and July 8 and stealing items, worth £5.08, from B&M, Dudley, on July 26. He must pay compensation of £5.08, a victim surcharge of £20 and £195 court costs.

Thomas Steven Wagner, aged 26, of Limes Avenue, Brierley Hill, was fined £80 for stealing perfume, worth £190 from Debenhams, Brierley Hill, on July 21 and August 4. He must pay compensation of £70, a victim surcharge of £20 and £235 court costs.

John George Jones, aged 29, of Bell Street South, Brierley Hill, was fined £146 for cultivating a plant of genus cannabis in Brierley Hill on August 5 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 21, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £180 court costs.
