A HALESOWEN housing development site manager has won a prestigious industry award - for the second year in a row.

Will Graham, who manages the Coombs Mill site in Narrow Lane for Bellway Homes, has won a Quality Award in the National House Building Council (NHBC) "Pride in the Job" competition.

He clinched the same accolade last year for his previous site, St James Mews in Dudley.

The Quality Award is given to the best 450 site managers at developments across the UK, who are selection from a shortlist of more than 15,000.

He will now compete in the next round of the competition in an effort to win a regional award and a "seal of excellence", which is given to the top 130 site managers in the UK.

The results will be announced later in the year.

Mr Graham, who lives in Birmingham, said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised by the NHBC again.

"This is a real team effort – everyone who works at the development, as well as the team at head office, have contributed to its success.

“The judging process becomes increasingly rigorous every year."

Construction director for Bellway Homes, Richard Holland, said: “Everyone at Bellway is delighted to see Will’s hard work recognised.

"Coombs Mill has been a hugely successful development and this is due in no small part to the efforts of Will and his team.

“We wish him the best of luck in the next round of the competition in the autumn.”
