*SPOILER ALERT*

The Coronation Street live episode delivered on nail-biting action for viewers as they saw Callum killed off in the first half hour.

Bad boy Callum, played by Sean Ward, attacked Sarah (Tina O’Brien) as part of his plan to extort money from the Platts, but got more than he bargained for as Kylie (Paula Lane) smacked him on the head with a wrench, killing him.

Talking about his last scene and the live episode, Ward said: “Cracks were definitely starting to show and he (Callum) was trying to keep his head above the water. The Platts were the only people he thought he could really intimidate quickly enough into getting him the money he needed.”

Former Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon has said he is still bitter about “being banned” from BBC radio after speaking out against Jimmy Savile.

Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten, has referred to an interview he did back in 1978, in which he commented that Savile was “into all sorts of seediness. We all know about it but we’re not allowed to talk about it”.

He told Piers Morgan on Life Stories: “I did my bit, I said what I had to (but they didn’t air that). I found myself banned from BBC radio for quite a while, for my contentious behaviour. They wouldn’t state this directly, there’d be other excuses.”

The 27-year-old, who appeared on the 2014 series of The Apprentice, has won fans by keeping a steady head inside the fractious Big Brother house while so many others have lost theirs.

One of the stand out characters of this year’s Great British Bake Off has to be Nadiya – not only for her delicious bakes, but also for her impressive range of facial expressions. So, here’s a recap of all the drama from episode eight, as told by Nadiya’s incredible face.

1. First up was the technical challenge, which demanded that our five bakers make cream horns. In a show already ridden with innuendo, they chose to include cream horns, made with rough puff pastry.

2. Unfortunately the bakers were less impressed by the prospect of, as Sue put it, “giving Paul the horn”. Who has actually eaten a cream horn in the last decade, aside from your great aunt? Precisely no one. Which meant that absolutely no one knew what they were doing.
