A TEENAGE bodybuilder has been tipped for stardom after just 18 months of training at a Blackheath gym.

Jack Jones, aged 16, from Rowley Regis, has amazed his trainer and family by his dedication to muscle development.

The young scaffolder, who trains five or six times a week and sticks to specialist diet, has transformed his body.

Mark Blundell, who runs the Pro-Fitness gym, Nimmings Road, said Jack’s body was “astonishing” for his age.

He added: “In 30 years I have not seen many come through like him with a chance of making it.”

And Mr Blundell predicts he could be competing in the national junior championships within a couple of years.

Jack, of Elmhurst Avenue, a former pupil of Cradley Heath’s Ormiston Forge Academy, was inspired to start bodybuilding by his uncle and his hero is Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“I would like to enter competitions and make a career out of bodybuilding,” he added.

Proud mum Clare Millership, said: “He doesn’t realise how big he is, but he is enormous and people who haven’t seen him for a five or six months are just amazed.”
