GREEN-fingered children at a Halesowen school added award-winning produce from their gardening club to boost the harvest festival.
Caslon Primary School headteacher Karen Brass thanked the pupils and their parents for their generous donations.
An auction of food hampers topped £200 to be spent on gardening tools and Forest School equipment and the remainder of the harvest haul was donated to the town’s Black Country Foodbank.
The after-school gardening club, run by volunteers Abbey Road Allotments chairman Mick Poultney, Anna Wright and Kerry Westwood, picked up first and second prizes at the recent Malvern Autumn Show.
