FANCY meeting some of Santa's little helpers and tucking into a festive feast fit for a king this Christmas?

A royal welcome awaits diners at The Oak Kitchen at Dudley Zoo's Queen Mary Restaurant, which is hosting four medieval banquet evenings on December 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 7pm.

Catering manager Lisa Ward said: “It should be a fun-filled night and offers something a little different for party-goers this festive season.

“After a welcome drink of mulled wine or cider, we will be giving revellers a reindeer encounter in the castle courtyard.

“They will get to meet some of our handsome herd before enjoying a feast fit for a king, then we’ll bring things back to the modern day with a disco until midnight.”

The three-course menu features Tudor broth, Royal rib of beef, Baron’s ballotine of turkey, peasant’s pumpkin parcel and a choice of two tempting desserts.
