A FLEET of foot centenarian celebrated her 100th birthday by dancing to Al Jonson with an injured toe in Halesowen.
Kathleen Clift tripped the light fantastic at a party attended by family and friends at her church, Zion Elim Pentecostal in Halesowen.
Kathleen maintains a very active life-style walking downhill from her home at Lyttleton House, Blackberrry Lane, Hasbury, pushing her
three-wheeled trolley into town to do her shopping.
And she often travels by bus into Kidderminister and Merry Hill on shopping expeditions.
She said: “You can’t stay indoors all the time.”
Her social life includes attending mid-week gatherings at The Rendevous Senior Citizens Club at Zion Church and The Hand Of Friendship at Hagley
Free Church.
Merlyn Hodgetts, The Rendevous leader, said: “It was a very special time being with Kath to celebrate her centenary.
"She is the eldest among our members who mainly range from the ages of 80-95 years.”
