A CAR has crashed through the front of a Wordsley salon giving customers and staff a close shave.
The car smashed through the window of Euphoria Hair in Lawnswood Road at about 11.50am this morning (November 28) and into the shop’s waiting area.
West Midlands Fire Service crews from Brierley Hill Fire Station attended the crash, where there were fortunately no injuries.
The car, a Volkswagen Polo, was driven into the salon by an elderly lady who is believed to have accidentally put her automatic car into drive instead of reverse.

West Midlands Ambulance Service also sent an ambulance and a paramedic area support officer to the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “Quite how no one suffered any injuries in this incident is not far short of a miracle.
“The car came to rest almost completely in the hairdressers which had a number of people inside at the time.
“Thankfully, none of them were caught up in the incident.
“The driver of the car, an elderly woman, managed to free herself from the vehicle and following assessment from ambulance crews she was discharged at the scene.
“There are a number of shops nearby and everyone deserves credit for pulling together to look after those involved prior to the arrival of emergency services.”
