HELP and support for people who have made a New Year’s resolution to get online is being offered at Halesowen and Cradley libraries.
Four levels of support are on offer including on-the-spot help with simple problems and drop-in sessions for help with Internet and e-mail, smartphones, tablets, online applications and form filling.
There are also courses and workshops for complete beginners at libraries across the borough as well as additional support for people who need to make online applications or job searches, including Universal Credit and Universal Jobmatch.
Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “More and more services are now going online and if you’re not on the web then it will become increasingly difficult to apply for and access basic services.
“The good news is that basic skills can be learned fairly quickly with our workshops and all libraries have free wi-fi and computers that visitors can use.”
