A 17-year-old was left needing major trauma care by ambulance and hospital medics after a crash between a motorbike and car in the Black Country on Saturday (January 30).

Three ambulances were called to the scene of the crash at the junction of Rowley Village and Mackmillan Road, in Rowley Regis, shortly after 9.15pm.

The teen who was riding the motorcycle suffered serious injuries which called for the specialist skills of a doctor and critical care paramedics.

The driver of the red Honda Civic left the scene before police arrived and officers are asking for anyone who has information to come forward.

A KIDDERMINSTER man who got drunk while babysitting four young children when his partner went on a planned night-out could have prompted a tragedy, Worcester Crown Courtwas told.

Amy Mattox left their home in Queen Street, Kidderminster, at 8pm and was shocked when she returned at 4am to find the front door open onto the street. Her two-year-old son was sitting in a chair with a cup of vodka and lemonade.

A DUDLEY teenager has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after two French bulldog puppies were stolen from an address in Wolverhampton.

The 17-year-old was taken in for questioning by police on January 27, alongside two 16-year-olds from Wolverhampton, but the teenage trio have since been bailed while police enquiries continue.

THE driver of a white van that was involved in a crash in Bromsgrove on Saturday morning (January 30) is being hunted by police.

West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the incident, which occurred in Birmingham Road, close to the Harvester Pub, at about 11.20am, when the van collided with a woman in her twenties.

She was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm.

A 19-year-old man from Dudley has been charged with firearm offences after a pistol, live ammunition, a BB gun and a quantity of cannabis were found at his address.

Unemployed Shaun Scott, of Westminster Close, was arrested by West Midlands Police and will now appear before magistrates today(Monday, February 1).

Scott has been charged with possession of a firearm, possessing ammunition without a certificate, harassment and possession of cannabis after handing himself in to a police station.

WATER had to be removed from the basement in a property in Redditch by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue crews late Friday evening (January 29).

The crew from the town’s fire station was alerted to and attended the flooding property in Beoley Road West at about 11.17pm.

TWO cars were involved in a crash in Brierley Hill on Saturday afternoon (January 30), alerting emergency services to the scene.

Four people were injured in the crash which took place in Delph Road at about 5pm, with West Midlands Fire Service sending a crew from Brierley Hill station to the incident.
