PAST players and social members of Halesowen Cricket Club are being invited to a reunion to rekindle memories and friendships.

Club stalwart Trevor Argent is organising a President’s Day and is hoping the occasion will be a big hit.

The 75-year-old club president is a veteran of the game, having joined the club at the age of 18 and representing the first, second and third teams, until finally retiring at the age of 60.

Mr Argent, who has been president for 10 years, said: “There are lots of former team mates and many social friends who belonged to the club who I’d like to see again. I’ve kept thinking about doing this and if it is successful it could become a regular event.”

The president’s day will be on Saturday June 18, when the 1st XI will be home to Stratford, starting at noon and including a buffet lunch.

Anyone interested should call Mr Argent on 01562 822545 or 07977 542702.
