THE last decade has seen around 10,000 pub closures across Britain and the Black Country has not avoided the decline.

The Lost Pubs Project, which keeps track of boozers where last orders was called for the last time, says four pubs close each day in the UK.

Check out our selection of some of the pubs lost to the community in our region and leave a comment to share your memories of watering holes where pints are no longer pulled.

Out of the pubs shown above:

The Woodman, Bromsgrove Road, Halesowen, closed in 2009, attempts to re-open it were unsuccessful and the pub is now a convenience store.

The Royal Oak, High Street, Amblecote, closed down and turned into a veterinary surgery.

The Kings Highway, Hagley Road West, Quinton, was closed down in 2007 and turned into a shopping area which has an Asda Supermarket and also branches of Subway and Starbucks Coffee.

The Hen and Chickens, Causeway Green Road, Oldbury, is now a buffet restaurant.

The Angel, Castle St, Dudley, is now home to a British Heart Foundation charity shop.

The King Arthur, Priory Road, Dudley, was demolished to make way for a supermarket.

The Five Ways, High Street, Cradley Heath, is now being used as a carpet shop.

The future for The Dog and Partridge, High St, Brierley Hill, The Cottage Spring, Mill Street, Brierley Hill, The Nelson, Hagley Road, Halesowen, and The Malt Shovel, High Street, Rowley Regis, remains uncertain.
