WORKERS' Memorial Day was marked by the GMB trade union in the grounds of Halesowen’s St John the Baptist Church today
More than 80 people attended, including Labour MP Pat McFadden along with members of the GMB, Labour Party and local community.
The theme for the international day was Strong Laws - Strong enforcement - Strong Unions in reaction to union claims of growing attacks on health and safety protection across the world.
A hundred balloons were released and a wreath laid at the church in memory of all those killed and injured in their workplace.
