GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there reports of traffic problems on the M42 southbound between J3 (Portway / Redditch) and J3A (M40), but traffic is coping in the area.

There are also areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, including: Narrow lanes and speed restriction of 40 mph on M6 southbound between J8 (M5) and J7 (Great Barr) due to repairs to the bridges over the Rushall Canal and the M5 to the southbound M6 link road.

There are also narrow lanes and speed restriction of 50 mph due to major roadworks on M5 both ways between J6 (Worcester) and J4A (M42) due to turning the section into a smart motorway.

Elsewhere, in Bewdley, Load Street westbound is closed between Severn Side South and Park Lane affecting traffic heading into town, as repair works take place to St Anne's Church.

Birmingham Road in Bromsgrove is closed both ways due to roadworks between Burcot Lane/All Saints' Road and Birmingham Road, while in Dudley, there are temporary traffic lights on The Broadway between Tower Street and Paganel Drive.

Lights outside Dudley College will be under manual control between 7am and 7pm so expect delays. In Stourbridge, Ridge Street is closed due to burst water main between Bridgnorth Road and Vicarage Road.

In Halesowen, Highfield Lane is closed due to gas leak between Hagley Road and Andrew Road, while Merrivale Road is also closed due to a sewer collapse between Roundhills Road and Hillbrow Crescent.
