HALESOWEN Golf Club hosted its annual charity weekend to raise funds for Halas Homes which is celebrating 40 years of providing care and support in Halesowen for adults with learning disabilities.
Captain Ralph Dicker and lady captain Audrey Parry organised two days of golf competitions for members and also raised funds with a raffle, auctionsand tee sponsorship.
Both captains were overwhelmed by the generosity of members and businesses who sponsored tees and donated prizes for the raffle and auctions.
Prizes for the golf competitions were handed out on Sunday afternoon when members, families and friends enjoyed a barbeque at the club.
Captain Ralph Dicker said: "Thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend such a success by helping with the organisation and all those who had so kindly donated to the charity fund.
"More than £2,000 was raised over the weekend and this will be added to other funds raised during the year and presented to Halas Homes in November when they hold their annual music evening at Halesowen Golf Club."
