A DUDLEY mum who has suffered the heartbreak of losing three babies has set up a support group to help other bereaved women.

Melanie Stephens set up The Corie Foundation in memory of her son, who died when he was two-weeks-old from a Group B Strep (GBS) infection.

The 37-year-old, who also lost two sons during pregnancy, will be offering a sympathetic ear at New Nation Destiny Centre in Court Passage, Dudley, tomorrow (Saturday, July 23).

Melanie has invited mums to drop in between 12noon and 2pm to talk about how they are feeling and speak to others in the same situation.

She is also using the foundation to raise £25,000 to purchase a static caravan, which would be used by families coping with bereavement.

To date, Melanie, who is also mum to 14-year-old Cobie, has raised £2,500 through various events.

"I've been looking at sites in Wales and Bewdley, nothing too far away but just somewhere families can go to spend some time together," she said.
