ROMSLEY has now got superfast broadband after nothing fibre-optic cabinet has been installed.
The improved internet connection is part of the Superfast Worcestershire programme, which is delivering fibre broadband to homes and businesses in Worcestershire.
A Superfast Worcestershire spokesman said: "Another fibre cabinet, cab number five, has just gone live, enabling more residents in the Romsley area to get fast fibre broadband if they so wish (they will need to contact their Internet Service Provider to upgrade).
"This brings the total number of cabinets deployed on Romsley telephone exchange to five, with cabinet numbers one, two, three, four and five now live."
Romsley Parish Council welcomed the improved broadband capability.
A council spokesman said: "This is great news for the parish and represents significant investment in the location."
To upgrade residents need to contact their ISP (Internet Service Provider) in order to upgrade. Visit www.superfastworcestershire.com to check if you can get fibre and also register for updates.
