A 16-YEAR-old boy from Sandwell has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Netherton man Simon Johnson.

The teenager was arrested from his home in Old Hill at 9pm on Saturday evening (August 13) and on Sunday (August 14) was being questioned as part of the enquiry.

A Stourport taxi driver has escaped jail after he ran over and killed a partially-drunk man on a Kidderminster ring road in the early hours.

Simon Robinson, 43, of Steatite Way, was handed a eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12-months at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, August 12.

Police are appealing for information after two teenage boys were mugged in a Rednal car park.

Between 4.15pm and 4.30pm on Monday, July 18, the two victims were walking through Oak Tree car park, in Lickey Road, when they were approached by an unknown man.

A child had to be rescued from a locked car in Redditch on Sunday morning (August 14).
