A FICTION writer and former cameraman who worked on the Beatles’ animated film Yellow Submarine will be leading the next creative writing workshop at Halesowen Library on Saturday 10 September.

Mike Uden’s early career was in professional film production but he has also published a number of fiction titles including his latest detective thriller, Dead Man Talking.

The free workshop is open to both new and experienced writers and will provide help and advice on how to get started with creative writing, developing story lines and getting published.

Cllr Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “This promises to be an interesting workshop. Mike has worked in film production and travelled the world teaching English and he draws on these past experiences in these workshops which can be enjoyed by writers of all levels.”

Mike Uden’s Creative Writing Workshop is at Halesowen library on Saturday 10 September from 11am to 1pm.
