THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between September 16 and 22:

Baiant Singh Nota, aged 30, of Springfield Road, Oldbury, was fined £430 for driving while unfit through drink and without insurance, in Tipton on May 22. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Gavin Corbett, aged 30, of Summer Road, Dudley, was fined £120 for driving without insurance in Dudley on January 24. He was given six penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Andrew Michael Smith, aged 42, of New Court, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 10 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing five watches and 10 packs of batteries, worth £150, from Argos, Merry Hill, on September 17. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £85 court costs.

Claire Louise Carroll, aged 30, of Brambleside, Wordsley, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for stealing eight cans of Special Brew, worth £16.10, from Sainsbury’s, Pensnett, on March 14 and 23. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Harry Henry Quinn, aged 36, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for 10 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing meat, worth £50, from Aldi, Dudley, on July 16. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Ben John Birch, aged 29, of Saltbrook Place, Lye, was given a 12 month community order for driving a van without a licence or insurance in Dudley between July 30 and August 1. He was also sentenced as an accident occurred, owing to the driving of the vehicle, which had been taken without the consent of the owner. He must carry out 200 hours unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Jodie Fern Bradley, aged 40, of Thornhill Road, Quarry Bank, was fined £80 for stealing six bottles of wine, worth £60, from Spar, Wollaston, on September 1. She must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Jack Stephen Hardwick, aged 21, of High Farm Road, Halesowen, was fined £260, for drink driving in Halesowen on September 1. When tested, he had 63mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Jack William Bates, aged 22, of Walton Road, Oldbury, was fined £360 for driving without due care and attention and without a licence insurance, in Oldbury on August 30. He was also sentenced for failing to stop when being required to do so by a police officer and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on September 14, having been released on bail. He was disqualified from driving for three months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Joshua Staden, aged 21, of Saltbrook Place, Lye, was given a nine month community order for entering Bowlplex, Dudley, as a trespasser with intent to steal on September 3 and possessing a bread knife in public. He was given a three month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay compensation of £500 and a victim surcharge of £85.

Jake Samuel Worrall, aged 22, of Masons Close, Halesowen, was fined £260 for drink driving in Halesowen on September 3. When tested, he had 74mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Paul Matthew Bull, aged 34, of Hilltop Road, Oldbury, was given a six month community order for stealing two Bluetooth speakers, worth £70, from Tesco, Stourbridge, on July 24 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 8 and September 1, having been released on bail. He was also sentenced for failing to attend an initial assessment to establish whether he was dependant on or had a propensity to misuse a class A drug, in Lye on August 9. He must pay £150 court costs.

John Robinson, aged 68, of North Street, Brierley Hill, was given a two month community order for drink driving in Brierley Hill on September 6. When tested, he had 96mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 6pm and 6am. He was disqualified from driving for six years and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Wayne Philip Ball, aged 31, of Swancote Road, Russells Hall, was sent to prison for one year, suspended for 20 months, for stealing items, worth £459.41, from shops in Dudley between May 22 and September 19. He was also sentenced for assaulting someone in Lower Gornal and causing £250 worth of damage to a double glazed window pane in Wrens Nest on July 26 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 26 and September 13, having been released on bail. Ball was also sentenced for entering The Caves public house in Dudley as a trespasser on September 18 and 19, and stealing items worth £1,600. He was given a three month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 6pm and 6am and must pay compensation of £500 and a victim surcharge of £115.

Lee Homer, aged 34, of Attingham Drive, Dudley, was fined £300 for speeding in Dudley on January 24. He was disqualified from driving for 56 days and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.
