SUPPORTERS of the historic Leasowes Park are hosting a talk on Warley Woods next Wednesday (October 12).

Kate Slade from the Warley Woods Community Trust will be talking about the park which was landscaped by Sir Humphry Repton.

He lived from 1752-1818 and Eva Field from the Friends of the Leasowes said he was equally as famous as the 18th century poet and landscape garden William Shenstone, who was responsible for Leasowes.

She added everyone was welcome to the free talk at the Shenstone Club, Kent Road, at 7.30pm.

Tea and coffee will be provided and there is a licenced bar.
