HELP is on offer to people across Dudley borough who want to get more out of their time online.

As part of Get Online Week, which runs from Monday (October 17) to Sunday, October 23, Dudley Council is offering a programme of workshops in libraries and learning centres to help people get to grips with the internet.

Workshops will be available at libraries throughout the borough, where people with basic computer skills can learn how to use the internet and enjoy the benefits of being online such as staying healthy, finding work, saving money or keeping in touch with family and friends.

The sessions take place on Wednesday, October19, in Halesowen, Lye and Gornal, on Thursday, October 20, in Stourbridge and Long Lane and on Friday, October 21, in Dudley, Cradley and Sedgley.

Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “More and more services are now online and our free workshops can help with the basics of computers and the internet and will provide learning through free online modules which people can also use in their own time.”
