A WOMAN who dedicated her life to saving cats and kittens has lost her battle with cancer.

Linda Case, a founding member of charity Cats Protection, sadly passed away on Friday (October 21) leaving behind her husband, her family and friends, and all the felines she raised money for, rescued, and cared for.

The Halesowen branch of Cats Protection have paid tribute to Linda, who also lived in Halesowen, thanking her for all her work.

A spokesman said: "Linda was one of our founding members and had been helping the cats and kittens of Dudley and Sandwell are for well over 30 years. During those years her total commitment and passion saved thousands of unwanted and neglected animals - she always wanted the best for them.

"Linda was the kindest person and was much loved by her friends and colleagues and by the many people she helped in the past.

"Thank you, Linda from all of us at Cats Protection for your loyalty to the fundraising, rescue and care you gave to the cats over the years.

"Supported through her long illness by her loving husband and family by whom she will be greatly missed."

A date has yet to be confirmed for Linda's funeral, but all are welcomed.
