THE Black Country’s up-and-coming hair and beauty stylists are being urged to enter this year’s Create the Look competition.
SME Insurance Services (SMEi), which provides specialist business insurance to hairdressers and salons, wants budding hair stylists, make-up artists, beauticians and nail technicians to submit images or video clips of their most inspired creations for a chance to be crowned the UK’s best.
The competition, now in its second year, is open to all trainee and apprentice stylists across the hair and beauty industry.
It aims to provide a platform for young and future talent to showcase their work Entries may incorporate singular or multiple elements of styling, including hair, make-up, beauty treatments and nail art.
In addition to being crowned the UK’s best up-and-coming stylist, the overall winner will receive a professional photoshoot experience for their winning “look”, a winner’s plaque, as well as a selection of hair and beauty kit from Lookfantastic.com, worth up to £200.
Two runners up will also each receive a runner up plaque, plus some luxury hair and beauty products, and equipment from Lookfantastic.com To enter, stylists need to submit a photo or video of their work via www.smeinsurance.com/hair-and-beauty-insurance/create-the-look – they should also include a short description on how they produced the look and their tips for recreating it.
Entries must be received before 12noon on Monday, March 6.
