POLICE were again called to reports of illegal poaching activity in the Romsley area.

After receiving calls from two residents, three police patrols were dispatched to the area just after 9pm on February 11.

This comes less than a month after officers were called to the area after similar reports of suspected poaching.

Officers carried out extensive searches of the area and checks were conducted of a vehicle.

The Bridgnorth Safer Neighbourhood Team are continuing to investigate the incident and the owner of the searched vehicle.

Further patrols will be conducted in the area by both marked and unmarked police vehicles.

A spokesman for the safer neighbourhood team said: "If you witnessed any activity which you believe may have be linked to poaching, or have any information that may identify any person or any vehicles involved in poaching, please call 101."
