A POPULAR Halesowen air hostess has made it to the final of the new series of Coach Trip on E4.

Faye Hewitt, aged 27, has spent 26 days on the coach avoiding being voted off by fellow holidaymakers.

Along with her friend Holly Loosemore, aged 28, from Sheffield, Faye wowed viewers by excelling at the various tasks given out by tour guide Brendan Sheerin.

The pair have Flamenco danced, had a taste of the Wild West and even donned the iconic Baywatch swimwear during an action packed month travelling through Spain.

However, the real achievement was surviving the back-biting, gossiping and intrigue which culminated each episode with the prospect of being voted off the coach.

Faye said: "We managed to get to the final after 26 days on the coach, Brendan changed the vote to a gold vote voting for a couple to be fast tracked to the final rather than go home.

"After getting the majority of votes we won the gold card guaranteeing a place in the final in Marbella this Friday."

If Faye and Holly win on Friday they clinch a luxury stay in Marbella.

The former Hurst Green Primary School and Perryfields High School pupil said: "We were overwhelmed with the vote and the lovely reasons people have as to why they selected us, it certainly felt a bit like hearing the eulogy at your own funeral, and at the time we were very emotional.

"The last 26 days have seen highs and lows ups and downs, laughter, arguments and at times us having to say bye to close friends from the twists Brendan threw in.

She added: "Unless you are there it's hard to understand the bonds you develop with people spending time on that coach with them day in day out and we certainly made some friends for life.

"Very few couples in coach trip history have managed to start on day one and get all the way to the end without being voted off so to say we are one of those couples is amazing."

She added: "It would be the cherry on top of the cake to win on Friday but also we are delighted to still be on the coach and proud of ourselves for making it to the final.

"Hopefully we have made our friends and family proud too and and have represented our hometowns well."

Coach Trip is on every weekday on E4 at 7.30pm and the final is Friday, February 24 at 7.30pm.
