THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between May 15 and 17:

Samantha Walker, aged 27, of Kingford Rise, Upper Gornal, was sent to prison for 182 days for stealing items, worth £52.67, from shops in Dudley and Gornal, on March 31 and April 21, while subject to a suspended sentence. She was also sentenced for breaching a criminal behaviour order in Dudley on March 31, April 14 and 18 and failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment on February 7 and 27.

Thomas Allan Barnett, aged 28, of Sidaway Street, Old Hill, was fined £185 for dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of a stolen items, worth £200, in Netherton on May 13 and wilfully obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £185 court costs.

Keith David Taylor, aged 36, of Summer Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for stealing 15 packets of bacon, worth £15, from Heron Foods, Dudley, on March 3. He was also sentenced for failing to attend an initial assessment to establish whether he was dependent upon or had a propensity to misuse a class A drug, in Oldbury, on March 10. He was given a 28 day curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Desmond Michael Billingham, aged 42, of Beecher Road, Cradley, was fined £100 for being drunk and disorderly in Cradley on April 15 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on May 3, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Leondis Matuzevs, aged 37, of Vince Street, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for entering an outbuilding in Cradley Heath as a trespasser between March 3 and 6 and stealing copper piping and dental equipment, worth £2,000. He must carry out 70 hours unpaid work and pay £100 compensation.

Andre Francis, aged 26, of Fountain Lane, Oldbury, was fined £200 for drink driving in West Bromwich on April 29. When tested, he had 63mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Mark Hewitt, aged 36, of Manor Lane, Norton, was given a three month community order for stealing an iPhone 5C, worth £150, in Stourbridge on April 15. He was fined £100 and must pay £150 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85 and £200 court costs.

Sarah Louise Jones, aged 37, of Heath Green, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for stealing items, worth £62.49, from Wilkos, Dudley, on May 3. She must pay compensation of £62.49 and a victim surcharge of £85.

Andrew Malpass, aged 56, of Prospect Road, Lower Gornal, was given a 12 month community order for using or threatening violence towards other persons, conducting himself in a way that would cause a person of reasonable firmness present to fear for their personal safety, in Gornal, on October 22, 2016. He must carry out 200 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £400 court costs.

Lee Roland Parry, aged 48, of Standhills Road, Kingswinford, was fined £400 for drink driving in Kingswinford on May 3. When tested, he had 63mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £40 and £135 court costs.
