TRAVELLERS left rush hour commuters scrabbling around for spaces when they set up camp on Rowley Regis train station car park.
Around 12 vehicles entered the site on Friday (May 19) evening and were still there on Monday morning as hundreds of people made their daily trips to work - prompting complaints from park and ride customers as some of the vans were taking up multiple spaces.
Bosses at Transport West Midlands, which owns and operates the site, promptly started the legal process to get them moved but the group left of their own accord on Monday night.
A spokesman for Transport for West Midlands, which owns and operates the park and ride site, said the loss of car parking spaces at the "heavily used" facility had caused a "significant inconvenience", adding: "They left behind one abandoned caravan which we have since had removed."
