A SERIES of bike maintenance and cycling information classes are taking place across Dudley borough next week.

As part of the Big Bike Revival, Dudley Council has teamed up with Cycling UK to offer the free sessions, which are taking place in Brierley Hill, Dudley Wood and Dudley.

During the events, people can drop in and use the ‘Dr Bike’ maintenance service for minor adjustments and repairs, while also donating old bikes for recycling or re-use by local organisation City Can Cycle.

There will also be free Bikeability ‘Learn to Ride’ and ‘Level 1’ training available where people need to bring their own bike.

Among the other activities taking place are free cycling information and resources, a children’s ‘Bling your Bike’ competition – resources will be provided – with judging starting at noon, and a First Aid basics session for adults, with training supplied by the council’s adult and community learning team, which people need reserve a place on by calling 01384 816496.

The sessions will run from 10.30am until 12.30pm and will be held at Brierley Hill Neighbourhood Learning Centre on Wednesday (May 31), Castle and Priory Neighbourhood Learning Centre on Thursday (June 1) and Dudley Wood Neighbourhood Learning Centre on Friday (June 2).
