ONE of the biggest events in the Black Country calendar will take place this weekend with the return of the Old Hill Festival.

A colourful parade, a host of live bands and acts and a fun fair will be among the attractions at the event which takes place at Spring Meadow Social Club in Old Hill on Saturday, July 15.

The event is free for all to enjoy with organisers promising a bostin’ Black Country day out. It will also raise vital funds for a number of charities that support kids with cancer and people with dementia Alzheimer’s.

The parade will start at 11.15am and will start at Highgate Street, before moving on to Halesowen Road and finally dispersing at the festival site at Spring Meadow.

Among the live acts performing during the day will be Maetloaf, Aka Ska Face and tributes to Rod Stewart, Amy Winehouse and Neil Diamond.

Youngsters will also be able to enjoy a fun fair while there will be a host of stalls selling a variety of items.

There will be more live music at the ticket only ‘Oh, What a Festival Night’ event from a Take That tribute, Jersey Boys and comedy act Black Country Boys from 7pm.
