COMPANIES across Halesowen have called for change by rallying behind the town’s proposal to become a Business Improvement District (BID).

A large number of businesses have declared their support for the proposal after speaking to BID ambassadors and manager Barry Wheeler.

David Dancer, of Dancer’s on Halesowen High Street, has been a firm supporter of the BID and has confidence in its ability to support the town’s development.

He said: “The BID can bring Halesowen’s businesses together, we can create a network that can help businesses old and new not just survive, but thrive.”

Support for the BID has also come from the industrial estates and offices within the region. Dean Ford, managing director of Full Range Print Solutions Ltd believes the BID will help boost trade in the area.

Dean added: “We have an opportunity, as a region, to invest a considerable amount of money in developing Halesowen. This investment will benefit all businesses, not just those located in the town centre”.

More information about Halesowen’s BID can be found at www.halesowenbid.co.uk.

Voting for the BID, which if successful could see more than £600,000 available for investment in the town centre over a five year period, was set to close at 4pm yesterday.
