SUPPORT charity Marie Curie is hosting an information evening in Halesowen to spread awareness about the services it offers in the area.

Members of the public are being invited along for a cup of tea to Lutley Community Centre on Monday (July 24) anytime between 7pm and 8pm.

At the event visitors will be able to hear about the terminal illness support services Marie Curie offer, how they can be accessed and local fundraising and volunteering that is happening right on their doorstep.

Rachel Nash, local community fundraiser, said: “It is so important we hold this evening to give people the right information about what we do. Marie Curie has a lot of different services that are all free to the public but not everyone knows about them.

“We also have a lot of volunteering opportunities within Halesowen and fundraising that local people can support so it will be a great opportunity to share this with everyone in one place.”

A local Marie Curie nurse is also planning on attending the event, where refreshments will be provided, to discuss what her job involves within the local community.
