GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there is reports of an accident on Holloway Drive near Marlfield Lane in Redditch which is causing some delays.

There is also slow traffic as usual at both Birchley Island in Oldbury and at the Burnt Tree Traffic Lights in Dudley.

There are also areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, including: Highbridge Road in Brierley Hill is closed both ways due to bridge maintenance work between Knowle Hill Road and Hill Street / Church Road until September 8. A diversion is in place via Pedmore Road, Peartree Lane, Cinder Bank, Sims Lane and Hill Street.

Telecoms work and temporary traffic lights in Blackheath on A4100 Powke Lane at Holly Road, while one lane is closed due to roadworks on A4123 Wolverhampton Road northbound in Oldbury between A4034 Churchbridge (Birchley Island) and Newbury Lane / Portway Road.

Birmingham Road in Bromsgrove is closed due to roadworks between Victoria Road and A448 Market Street / B4091 Stourbridge Road, while telecoms work and temporary traffic lights are in place on Longbridge Lane at Turves Green in Longbridge.

There are also narrow lanes and speed restriction of 40 mph due to major roadworks on M5 both ways between M6 J8 and J2 A4123 (Oldbury).

Three narrow lanes are running in each direction as part of long-term work on the Oldbury Viaduct between J1 and J2. While speed restrictions are in place from the M6 link down to J2 (Oldbury).
