ACTOR Idris Elba has been named 2017 male Rear of the Year, beating both Prince Harry and Harry Styles to the top spot.

The Dark Tower star was voted best celebrity bottom in the annual contest, taking the coveted title from last year’s winner and fellow big screen actor, Tom Hiddleston.

The red-haired royal came second place, followed by 1997 winner Gary Barlow in third, singer and Dunkirk star Styles in fourth, and Fifty Shades Of Grey lead, Jamie Dornan, in fifth position.

LINKIN Park’s wide-ranging back catalogue has surged into the charts following the death of frontman Chester Bennington.

Nine of the group’s albums are on course to enter the top 100, including two inside the top five, according to the Official Charts Company midweek update.

It comes less than a week after Bennington was found dead at his home, with fans keen to celebrate the singer-songwriter’s legacy.

THE editor of popular BBC Radio 4 soap The Archers has said there will “always be stories” for the character Jill Archer, who today celebrates 60 years of being on the show.

The character of Jill, often described as the “lynchpin” of Ambridge life, has been played by actress Patricia Greene since July 25 1957.

The 60th anniversary celebration also sees Greene claim the honour of being the longest-serving continuous actor on The Archers, the BBC confirmed.

The duo covered their mouths in shock and embraced as host Caroline Flack announced they had triumphed over Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt.
