A PROGRAMME which can help young people change their lives for the better is launching in Cradley Heath next month.

The Prince’s Trust 12-week programme, which is delivered by City of Wolverhampton College, helps 16 to 25-year-olds back into jobs, education or training, to realise their potential and to achieve their goals and dreams.

Young people across the region are being urged to sign up for the course, which starts on Monday, October 9, at Cradley Heath Community Centre, in Reddal Hill Road.

The programme also includes a residential week away, with activities such as climbing, abseiling and raft building, worthwhile community projects and fundraising activities.

Students will also spend two weeks on work experience and pick up a number of certificates, including those in first aid, food hygiene and health and safety.

Organisers are also appealing for anyone who knows of any potential projects, such as renovating a community centre or creating a play area, that would be challenging and achievable for a team to complete within two weeks to get in contact.
