POWERFUL and deeply moving play Duet For One is being brought to the Midlands stage this week.

Centring on brilliant musician Stephanie Abrahams who is suffering from a debilitating illness which has prevented her from playing her beloved violin, the play will be performed at Birmingham Rep from Friday, September 22 to October 7.

Staring Belinda Lang and Oliver Cotton, the show is a limited UK tour of Tom Kempinski’s award-winning two-hander.

Based on the life of world renowned musician Jacqueline Du Pré, Duet For One had great success in West End and Broadway runs, with the film adaptation released in 1986, saw Julie Andrews nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Actress.
