DRAMATIC work is currently underway at an Oldbury home furnishings store in preparation for its grand reopening event this month.

Dunelm is currently undergoing 14 weeks of work to get it up to the standard of its new stores before it reopens on Tuesday, October 24.

As well as a new layout and an update to the in-store cafe, the refurbished store will have a new Kiddicare department.

On October 24, the Mayor of Sandwell, Cllr Ahmadul Haque, will be officially reopening the store, while customers and families on the day will be welcomed by various entertainers, including a balloon artist and face painter, for all to enjoy free of charge.

Kayleigh Davenport, Dunelm Oldbury’s new store manager, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming back members of the Oldbury community.

“We have an exciting reopening day planned and we hope the local community will join us on the October 24.”

The store will also be giving away a free gift to the first 50 customers through the door, as well as hosting competitions throughout the day for the chance to win lots of prizes from Kiddicare.
