A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was found dead in his own Cradley Heath home today (Monday November13).

Police were called to Corngreaves Walk at 11.45am where a 47-year-old man was found collapsed with multiple stab wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem examination is due to take place on Wednesday morning.

A 47-year-old man, from Tividale, was arrested earlier this morning on suspicion of a series of domestic assaults at addresses in Dingle Avenue, West Avenue and Poplar Close.

He is currently in police custody on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, wounding and vehicle theft.

West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster, said: “I’m appealing for anyone who was in the Corngreaves Walk area at around 6pm yesterday (Sunday November 12) and saw or heard a disturbance to contact us. They could hold important information.

“We have established a timeline of offences and suspect three people were subjected to nasty assaults involving weapons, including a knife and metal bar, in the space of just over two hours.

“These are understood to be domestic incidents where the suspected attacker is known to the victims; none of the injuries are life threatening.

“It’s then believed the same attacker stabbed a man in his home in Corngreaves Walk just after 6pm but that his body lay undetected in the house until just before midday today.

“Police family liaison officers are supporting the deceased’s family at this tragic time.”

The suspect was arrested from a vehicle at the ASDA car-park in Oldbury at 6.20am this morning by officers investigating reports of a stolen van.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on the 101 number.
