A BEER thief who broke into a Wollescote social club has been given a 12 month community order.

Niall Stephen Lones, aged 19, of Park Street, Stourbridge, entered Beech Tree Social Club as a trespasser on August 1 and stole a crate of Budweiser beer.

He must carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs.

Aurelian Tudoriu, aged 33, of Dingle Street, Oldbury, was fined £560 for drink driving in Oldbury on October 28. When tested, he had 80mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Shabir Ahmed, aged 32, of Springfield Crescent, Dudley, was fined £800 for driving without due care and attention in Dudley on March 8. He also sentenced for failing to stop following an accident. He was given seven penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £40 and £625 court costs.

Kelly Jane Franklin, aged 38, of Bushyfields Road, Russells Hall, was fined £300 for drink driving in Dudley on October 22. When tested, she had 92mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was also sentenced for driving without insurance. She was disqualified from driving for 22 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £50 court costs.

David John Short, aged 36, of Lawley Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for six months, suspended for two years, for having a Stanley blade at Russells Hall Hospital on November 14. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £185 court costs.

Andrew Leslie Griffin, aged 36, of Overend Road, Cradley Heath, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of a stolen Santander bank card in West Bromwich between October 10 and 12. He was also sentenced for undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of a stolen Fiat Punto in West Bromwich on May 24. He must pay compensation of £290.

Dean James Taylor, aged 24, of Clarence Road, Dudley, was fined £80 for causing £100 worth of damage to a door in Dudley on November 1. He must pay compensation of £100 and a £30 victim surcharge.
