GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but the M5 Southbound is busy but moving around the roadworks area between junctions one and two. Travel time is around 16 minutes.

There is also the usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury which is causing delays.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak.

In Catshill roadworks and temporary traffic lights on Golden Cross Lane at Woodrow Lane are causing delays, as is water main work in Cofton Hackett on Lowhill Lane between Lickey Road and Groveley Lane.

Electricity work and temporary traffic lights on Worcester Road at Santa Maria Way in Stourport is expected to cause delays, while in Wilden there is telecoms work and temporary traffic lights on Wilden Top Road between Bigbury Lane / Leapgate Lane and Hartlebury Road, as well as water main work and temporary traffic lights on Hartlebury Road at Wilden Top Road.

There is telecoms work and temporary traffic lights in place in Kidderminster on A442 Bridgnorth Road at Honeybrook Lane and water main work and temporary traffic lights on A451 Stourport Road between A4535 Sutton Road and A442 Worcester Road / Green Street / New Road.
