UNIQUE gifts and home-made refreshments will be on offer at the Himley Hall Teenage Market this weekend.

Young entrepreneurs aged 12 to 22 will be selling their wares in the famous house from 11am to 3pm on Sunday (December 17), offering the perfect chance for shoppers to pick up a special gift for Christmas across the 20 stalls.

Goods on offer range from arts, crafts and stationery, to jewellery, greetings cards, clothes and home-made cakes and biscuits.

Hosted by Dudley Council, the Teenage Markets give young people the chance to showcase their creative products and business ideas for free.

Admission to the hall and the Teenage Market is free, although there is a charge for parking.

Cllr Ian Kettle, cabinet member for planning end economic development, said: “We established Teenage Markets to give young entrepreneurs the chance get hands-on experience in developing their own businesses.

“They learn the day to day skills needed to create, market and sell their products and get to do so in a safe and fun environment.

“We hope that each time they attend an event they learn more about the selling process and build up their skills for the future.”
