A PAIR of year 10 students from a Halesowen school were selected by a national panel to deliver a speech at the Schools, Students and Teachers National Conference in Manchester.

Windsor High School and Sixth Form students Avneet Sahota and Leha Atkins wrote and delivered their speech entitled ‘What Illuminating Learning means to us?’ to more than 800 delegates including headteachers and senior leaders from schools across the country.

Stephen Lanckham, headteacher, said: “We are extremely proud that the work of both the school and the collaborative work across the Windsor Academy Trust was highlighted and showcased nationally by our students.

“They delivered their speech with confidence and clarity and were a credit not only to themselves but also to the school.”
