A NEW ladies choir being set up in Halesowen is on the lookout for singers with experience of reading music.
Margaret Jones, the leader of a number of top Dudley borough choirs, will launch Shenstone Roses at Lifecentral Church on Saturday, February 3.
The small singing group will meet monthly on weekend afternoons with the aim of giving performances in the local area.
Margaret, who is currently music director of Lutley Community Voices, Shenstone Singers and the Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir, said: “I'm excited at the prospect of exploring some of the fantastic music composed and arranged for women’s voices.
“We will cover a wide range of repertoire – classical, popular, songs from the shows – in two or three parts.”
Anyone interested in coming along to the first meeting – between 2pm and 5pm – for a free afternoon of singing (including refreshments) should call Margaret on 07761 849332 or email shenstonemusic@gmail.com.
