LAUGHTER yoga is set to bring smiles to the lives of people in Halesowen this year.
To help lift the winter blues, Black Country instructor ‘Merrie Maggie’ is setting up a new club at Halesowen College and is inviting people to laugh along with her at her forthcoming sessions.
Maggie said: “Laughter yoga is an aerobic exercise session where we laugh for no reason, through laughter exercises, hand claps, chants – to warm up our facial muscles – and deep breathing.
“It is most uplifting, boosts the immune system and is a lot of fun! Come and join in the playfulness.”
The first Halesowen sessions will take place on Wednesday (January 31) from 7pm in rooms 13101 and 13102 at the Whittingham Road college.
There is no charge for the new monthly sessions, which are open to anyone – young or older, but donations are welcome to help cover the cost of room hire.
