A THIEF from Oldbury has been given a six month community order.

Dawn Powell, of Mallard Drive, stole items worth £566 from Marks and Spencer, Merry Hill, on January 24.

The 42-year-old must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

The following also appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court between February 8 and 15: Simon Johnson, aged 31, of High Street, Quarry Bank, was sent to prison for 18 weeks for breaching a restraining order in Stourbridge on November 23. He must pay £100 compensation and a victim surcharge of £115.

Josh James Dryden, aged 33, of Malvern Avenue, Stourbridge, was fined £120 for stealing £10 cash in Lye on August 14. He must pay £50 compensation, a victim surcharge of £30 and £300 court costs.

Thomas Steven Wagner, aged 28, of White City Road, Quarry Bank, was sent to prison for 14 weeks for stealing four LED lights, worth £48, from Matalan, Merry Hill, on February 7, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Mohammed Haroon Arif, aged 19, of Dixons Green Road, Dudley, was fined £120 for driving without a licence or insurance in Dudley on November 18. He was given six penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Jaspreet Kaur, aged 29, of Rood End Road, Oldbury, was fined £120 for drink driving in West Bromwich on January 21. When tested, he had 72mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Daniel Lee Sadler, aged 25, of Highfield Crescent, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for assaulting a man in Walsall on December 3, 2017. He was also sentenced for harassing a woman in Walsall on February 1. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Russell James Willetts, aged 27, of Vernon Close, Blackheath, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing 15 air fresheners, worth £15, from Poundland, Oldbury, on December 1. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Richard John Jones, aged 42, of Piper Place, Stourbridge, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing goods, worth £250, from Tesco, Cradley Heath, on February 11. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £185 court costs.

Elliot Davis, aged 27, of Harvard Close, Upper Gornal, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for assaulting a woman in Oldbury on November 3. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £300 court costs.

James Nathan Rose, aged 28, of Norwood Road, Brockmoor, was given a 12 month community order for driving in Amblecote on November 4 when the proportion of controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood exceeded the specified limit. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance and possessing cocaine. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must carry out 140 hours unpaid work. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs.

Wayne Phillip Cook, aged 32, of Birch Terrace, Netherton, was fined £120 for drink driving in Dudley on January 31. When tested, he had 40mgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence or insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 38 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Kamran Hussain, aged 28, of Victoria Road, Oldbury, was fined £240 for driving in West Bromwich on December 30, 2017, when the proportion of controlled drug Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood exceeded the specified limit. He was also sentenced for possessing cocaine. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £185 court costs.

Ian Matthew Marsh, aged 48, of Hellier Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for 20 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for assaulting a woman in Dudley between December 20 and 23, 2017, while subject to a conditional discharge. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £115 and £200 court costs.

Debbie Louise Shaw, aged 38, of Swallowfields Road, Sedgley, was given a nine month community order for drink driving in Wolverhampton on January 30. When tested, she had 100mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 36 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.
