MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity has partnered with Cradley Heath legal firm George Green LLP to offer a free will writing service.

Wills play a big part in the air ambulance’s fundraising, with four in every 10 of the 2,000 missions it carries out every year funded through a gift in a will.

The new service with George Green LLP has been developed to raise awareness of how vital this type of fundraising is and what a significant part it plays in saving lives.

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for the Lye-based charity, said: “Donations through a ‘Gift in a Will’ play an ever increasing part in how we fund our life saving service.

“We want to ensure people across the Midlands that are considering making or updating their will are able to do this without any cost.

“Those that do decide to use the free will writing service and leave a gift – no matter how large or small – can take great comfort in knowing their legacy will be saving lives for many years to come.”

The charity’s free will writing service is available to anyone aged 55 and over, regardless of whether they are supporters of the charity or not.

Claire Pottinger, private client head and partner at George Green, added: “Midlands Air Ambulance is a charity close to the hearts of the members of our team, and the firm in general, so I am thrilled to be able to show our support by becoming involved in the scheme.”
